Two months ago Property Management Direct joined Auckland Centrals branch of BNI.

BNI stands for Business Network International. BNI is a business and professional networking organisation that allows only one person from each profession to join any group or chapter.
There are currently 129 chapters in New Zealand and some 2,741 members with a number currently under formation. Worldwide there are 125,000 members in 5,454 chapters in 38 countries.

Recent information from the Department of Building and Housing show the average weekly rent in Auckland on the rise. The average has risen by $5 to $408 per week.
This is a $20 a week higher than July 2009 which at $388 was constant throughout 2009 and 2008

Accurate records can help you if a dispute arises during or at the end of the tenancy. You must keep copies of formal legal documents like the tenancy agreement, property condition report, and bond and rent records.

Records of any communication with the other parties involved in the agreement should also be kept, often in a diary or planner where details of times and dates can be made accurately.

Also, keep duplicates of any letters or emails sent to the other party.
